DOJ blames Apple for lack of Super Apps like WeChat in US
The US Department of Justice has filed an antitrust lawsuit against Apple, accusing the tech giant of stifling the creation of Super Apps, such as WeChat, in the US. The lawsuit argues that Apple's policies have prevented the development of super apps, which provide multiple functions or mini-apps all in one, making it easier for users to switch between devices and platforms. The DOJ believes that super apps would benefit consumers by reducing dependence on the iPhone and creating a more homogeneous experience across platforms.
